RSVP for a Town Hall discussion on our next steps towards collective bargaining!

Earlier this month we won our union elections by 91% for Scientists and 95% for Instructors. These results are a strong mandate for bargaining and give us more power to advocate for improvements when we enter negotiations with Mount Sinai.

Town Hall on Next Steps, Wednesday April 30th at 12pm:

We will be holding an Informational Union Town Hall to discuss our next steps, on April 30th, at noon, in the Annenberg Building (room 17-80). Join us to meet with other senior researchers, discuss next steps as we approach bargaining, and get answers to any questions you may have about our election win or forming a union at Sinai.

The more of us helping talk with coworkers, the more we can build strong participation by senior researchers in upcoming phases of our campaign, including voting on our bargaining committee and initial goals for bargaining, which will be based on surveys, town halls, and other sources of feedback. Click here to get more involved in ROCS-UAW.

UAW Immigration Hotline:

Over the last few weeks, the Trump Administration has been escalating attacks on non-citizen students and academic workers across the US – and we should be prepared for these threats to impact our community at Sinai.

Our union has set up a UAW Immigration Hotline with a team of lawyers to quickly connect members facing an immigration emergency with legal resources. In the event that you or a coworker are experiencing an unexpected change in immigration status or any other immigration-related emergency, call this number: 888-416-2110.

Here are additional resources to help you understand your rights and seek further guidance if needed.
